Our work is typically a bit of marketing (identifying prospects, creating promotion plans) and a lot of selling (phone calls, emails, and personal meetings). Clients pay a retainer plus incentives for our services. Typically we begin a project by working for two to three months, and then we meet to review. If there's evidence that our services will be worthwhile, we move forward. If not, we stop. It is a very low-cost approach to exploring important strategic business questions.
